This school sucks in every way if you have children here find a different school.

East Troy schools are Not what the used to be. Due to a lack of action by admin to their staff when parents have complained repeatedly is atrocious! Us parents are our children's voices. Our children deserve respect as do we. They also deserve to feel safe and secure while at school. At this date, our elementary(2nd-5th) students do Not feel this way. With a non-existent, cold & uncaring principle I don't know how they ever could. It is pretty sad when students think that their school secretary is the principle. I do have to say that there are some wonderful teachers that really do care. On the overall, a lacking admin staff can spoil the whole bunch.

The special education teachers at the High School are Excellant teachers and care a great deal about there students you could not ask for better people to work with your scecial education need kids. But they are over worked and could use more help in my opinion. As for the main teachers the majority are good at what they do and love what they teach I do wish they know more about Autism/Asperger's Syndrome.

I agree that there is not adequate supervision especially during recess and lunch. Also, there is no airconditioning in Doubek; not even window airconditioning. It's is ridiculously hot!

I'm a product of the East Troy school system, K-12, and I can't say enough about the school system. The school consistently goes above and beyond, academically, athletically, and extracurricularly. I was involved in band, choir, and drama all four years of high school, I'm a National Merit Finalist, and currently attend the University of Nebraska (Go Big Red!). Believe me when I say that an East Troy graduate, if they bother to take any responsibility for their own education, graduates with a degree that means a lot. All of the departments have some challenging courses (I took three of the four AP courses offered). The problems with this school are not its fault--when the village refuses to pass a referendum to pay for heating the school or replacing school buses, the money for that has to come out of academics, athletics, and co-curriculars.

We have 6 children so they are all in different levels of the school system and we love it!! The only down fall about E.T. is the fact that they have all the kids so far apart and so many schools for elementary students and hard to get from one to another quickly!!

I am a product of the East Troy School System, Class of 2002, and feel that I received an outstanding education. East Troy may be small, but it offers a lot of activities for a variety of students. I was involved in numerous student groups, drama, music, and sports. The teachers at ETHS were always willing to help and made it a point to work with any student who came in for help. Every department has its pros and cons, but a balanced curriculum is offered to all students...including programs for advanced students and for those who need extra help. I just graduated from a private college in WI with All-College Honors, thanks in large part to my education in East Troy. I have family who lives in TN who wants to move here simply so their child can attend ET schools. I would send my kids there in a minute.

Our test scores are higher than the state average, which means that the 'educational growth' is just fine in fact it's better than fine. In 2005 two students were accepted to Columbia University, in 2006 three students were named national merit semi finalists, the ETHS Camerata choir accepted an invitation to sing on the stage of Carnegie hall in New York City. Now I don't know about you, but for a little school, that has hardly six-hundred students, I think that's pretty good. The East Troy district has some of the best and most dedicated teachers in the state and they continue to work hard for our kids. East Troy is great.

Hope you find this information useful. I attended East Troy High School from 2002-2004, graduating in '04. I was a transfer student from Waukesha County. Staff was very helpful informative, overall on top of everything! ETHS has a slender amount of classes than a larger county would have. Causing problems with transfering two credits. However very accommodating in configuring those credits into my transcripts:) When approaching my senior year i had made an appointment with my counselor regarding college. Now there was a slim chance of myself not graduating in 2004. My counselor looked at me and said, ' Let's focus on you graduating first.' Lets just say I was not pleased with what was stated. Usually someone might think college possesses motivation. As I entered college and requested my transcrips we ran into another problem. My birthdate, father, and most personal information was incorrect causeing delays in the addmissions process.

I went to East Troy 3-12 grade and I absolutely loved the school district. Referring to the previous person that wrote that East Troy High School is like a prison is completely crazy. You are allowed to go outside during your lunch and can leave the lunch room but they don't allow you to roam the halls because they don't want you to disturb the classes that are in progress. Most of the students that I went to school with loved being able to decorate for their prom in the school and I went to another school prom and it had no decorations because they weren't allowed to decorate at the hotel that it was located at. I am now an education student in college and would love it if I could get a job at East Troy because it is such a great place for students and teachers.

Pretty restrictive considering the age of most students.

I went to East Troy schools from Kindergarten untill my freshaman year of highschool. Then I moved to Milwaukee, so if you compare E.T. to MPS then East Troy is the best school ever! Honestly, I loved going to school in East Troy and will cherish my memories forever. My sister graduated from ETHS and went to collage and is now a teacher in Milwaukee. She went to UW-Parkside and found her education from ET outstanding

I am a product of the East Troy School System. K - 12. I feel that the education I received from East Troy schools was excellent. I went on to college (did not finish, but left on my own will, not due to academics) in Madison and had no problems comparing to other students. I was even able to test out of math in college due to the great teachings at ETHS. I did graduate a number of years ago, but I currently have siblings in the school system and I feel the same way now of the education provided as I did/do of my own.
